Did #80Plates Do Gastropubs Justice?

"Around the World in 80 Plates" started last week and the first port of call was London. After watching the show we started to discuss what we would like to serve and where we would like to serve it.

We chose The Spread Eagle, in Greenwich, which has a small bar area in the front. And if you don't like the menu you can get the best fish and chips in Britain around the corner!

Diver Scallops with a Classic Curry Sauce
An orange, spicy sauce served with pan-seared scallops.

Fresh Trout 
A fresh trout stuffed with herbs, baked and served whole and 
served with a glass of Chapel Down sparkling wine.

Five Spice Pork Loin Pie
A locally sourced pork seared in five spices and 
served in a thick-crusted pie and served with Scrumpy.

 Eccles Cake and Cheese
 A moist raisin filled pastry complimented with a 
crumbly light cheese and served with a glass of sherry.
